INVADERS series

WHERE YOUNG MEN GIVE ME AN ANSWER, 2023

I made this sculpture in the winter of 2023 while working on an anti-war project at a residence in southern Denmark. During numerous walks in nature, I began to feel calm and this affected my practices. This sculpture is part of a series which began immediately after the beginning of Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. I worked as a recorder, reproducing the literal bodies of the dead invaders. Over time, the defense mechanism of the psyche began to distance me from what was happening. Over time, sculptures ceased to be only bodies, as if time had already passed and nature had absorbed all the consequences.
