Ten years ago, I began work on the project about war, based on the conviction that humans have always felt a disconnection with nature. To compensate this, the plowing of nature and the construction of civilization began. This construction is accompanied all along the way by the fear of catastrophe, the collapse of all efforts. Throughout history, this has happened more than once. In the mythologies of different cultures and geographies, hell is present as the worst of places, associated with natural elements. In fact, hell on earth is organized by humans themselves, destroying nature and each other in an organized fashion.

It's a strange thing. I'm working on the project to remember, there's a war going on. But while I'm holding a 3d pen, I'm not thinking about anything. Apparently that's why I choose a labor-intensive approach based on repeating the same actions to prolong this escapism. Over the past three years, I've been coming up with new approaches to the main material of this project. Something worked, but it looked old and archaic. As archaic as war.

It is very good that time exists and that this hell is not forever. I want to believe there will be a time when traces of war can only be found in museums next to fossil prints and flint tools.


Десять лет назад я начинал работу над проектом о войне, отталкиваясь от убежденности в том, что человек всегда чувствовал разъединение с природой. Чтобы компенсировать это, началось перепахивание природы и строительство цивилизации. Это строительство всю дорогу сопровождается страхом катастрофы, краха всех усилий. На протяжении истории это происходило не раз. В мифологиях разных культур-географий присутствует ад, как худшее из мест, связанное с природными стихиями. На самом деле ад на земле устраивают сами люди, организованно уничтожая природу и друг друга.

Странное дело. Я работаю над проектом, чтобы помнить, идет война. Но пока я держу в руках 3д ручку, я ни о чем не думаю. Видимо поэтому я выбираю трудоемкий подход, основанный на повторении одних и тех же действий, чтобы длить этот эскапизм. На протяжении последних трех лет я придумывал новые подходы к главному материалу этого проекта. Что-то получалось, но выглядело старым и архаичной. Таким же архаичным, как война.

Очень хорошо, что существует время и что этот ад не навсегда. Хочется верить, будет такое время, когда следы войны можно будет обнаружить только в музеях рядом с ископаемыми отпечатками и кремниевыми орудиями.
